You think it’s annoying to take off jewelry every time you wash your hands ? Well you’re right!

Especially because you have to wash your hands multiple times a day…and you might not always remember to remove your rings.

But what if I told you it’s ok to keep your silver rings on without worrying about tarnishing or ruining them ?

The great news is…you can! But…

On one condition…

You have to watch out for chemicals.

These chemicals are found in soaps and they damage the silver overtime. Your ring could lose its shine and grow a black colour if exposed for too long.

And since you’re using soap often…you’ll have a hard time trying not to get some of it onto the ring.

You can still deal with this issue of course.

One way is to simply wash with water when you don’t NEED the soap. I know this is not the best option but it helps reduce the chemical buildup in the long run.

The second option is to rub the soap in your palm as usual…and then use your palm to spread the soap across your fingers from front to back.

But when you get to your ring finger gently rub the area next to the ring. Don’t let it touch the silver. When it’s time to rinse you start with your ring finger and slowly wash away the soap.

Now you can clean the rest of your hands right away. Simply cover up the ring for a few seconds and let the water run through your hands.

Don’t worry about slight contact between the soap and ring. Those small occurrences are fine and won’t hurt the ring.

Most importantly…don’t let huge amounts of soap hit the ring. And even better is not to rub the ring with soap. Doing that places the highest risk on the ring’s health.

Treat the ring with care and don’t stress too much if some soap gets on it.

Damage needs lots of repeated harm to be noticeable. So your ring will glow for years to come like it’s brand news…if you follow the basic procedures I mentioned here.

Enjoy your sparkling jewelry!
